Addison has been keeping me on my toes lately. My poor, pregnant, swollen toes. She has been squeezing into the most random places and getting caught. Jeremy and I were at Babies 'R Us looking for a new Pack 'n Play (yes we have gone one full year of parenthood without a pack 'n play) and Addison kept climbing on the lowest display shelf and crawling to the furthest corner away from us. She thought this was pretty funny.
Then we came home that day and she pulled this bright move....
She got stuck on the bottom shelf of her changing table. Poor girl - it was funny so had to take a picture before rescuing her.
Jeremy and I were watching Addie and her buddy (also Addison) last weekend and they were playing together nicely. We were in the kitchen and noticed they were being suspiciously quiet. We checked on them and here is my Addison totally chomping on crayons!!! I love how her buddy looks so innocent....yet who is holding the crayon box????!? Ha ha. Those two girls get into so much together.
She also loves sitting on the low shelf on our sofa table. Sometimes she will just sit back there and look at her books. Jeremy caught her the other day with her snack and juice, chilling on the back of the sofa table.
And finally, my heart is filled with pride whenever Addie performs her newest trick. Blowing raspberries and spit everywhere. I like to think she picked this up from her dad, but in reality have no idea where she picked it up or why she thinks its so hilarious. (Note the totally wet spot on her shirt right under her chin. Really graceful, little girl!!!!)
Even though at times she kicks my butt, I am really enjoying these precious last few weeks of just having one kid to chase after. Sometimes I talk with my girlfriends and it's so hard to keep an eternal perspective of the importance of what we're doing with our kids and families. Somebody emailed this talk to me, and I didn't open it immediately. Then after a particularly long night, and Addie was in bed, I decided to open it and read it. So thankful I did. It's a great talk that helped refill my energy and enthusiasm for being a mom. (That and some night time snacks and sleep....)
Anyway, here is a link. It's called "Mothers Who Know". Sister Beck says, "There is eternal influence and power in motherhood." ....Even if your child eats crayons.
Anyway, anybody needing a boost should definitely take a couple of minutes and look it over.
Hope everybody is doing great!

Happy Birthday, Jeremy!
OK, totally slacking at blogging again. It was Jeremy's birthday on Sunday and we had a nice dinner, then some cake and ice cream with family. Jeremy requested German Chocolate cake and specifically asked that I make it - didn't want me spending money ordering his cake (those of you who know Jeremy aren't surprised).....

Nothing New....
....actually that's not true. Just been too busy to blog but wanted to let everybody know that yes we are alive and yes I am still pregnant! I'm 33 weeks this week, so hopefully this baby gets here in the next 5-7 weeks or so. It seems like we have so much going on - planning the move to Omaha (looks like we might buy a house out there!), getting Jeremy ready for school, getting our house ready for the new baby, plus I'm nesting like CRAZY. Jeremy has to limit my vacuuming to twice a day....
Addison is doing great!!! Her favorite things to do are:
*Pull my hair or glasses off my face and when I tell her "no" as sternly as I can without totally cracking up, she busts up laughing. Apparently I'm not very convincing!
*She is also singing along to "Old McDonald" by saying "E-I-E-I" but never finishes by saying "O".
*She also loves following Jeremy around all day (when we're lucky enough to have him here all day!) by saying "Dad!" totally enunciating her "d"s. Pretty funny.
*She also says "Yeah, yeah" a lot too. Usually when I ask her if she wants to eat! Just like her daddy!
*We have, miraculously, taught her to not play in Jake's water bowl. So whenever I leave it on the ground and it's full, she will walk right up to it and just stare at it. But doesn't touch it - but I usually pick it up as soon as she points it out. Don't want to tempt her too much!
*Lately she loves sitting on chairs, our sofa table shelf, whatever she can reach. Here she is in Jeremy's banana chair. (Don't ask me why Jeremy loves banana chairs, but he does!!!)
* OK, yes, I am a horrible mother. Addie loves playing in her closet (it's like a walk-in type closet) and her clothes are in these cute bins. She likes taking her clothes out of her bins, which I don't normally let her do unless I'm really desperate. Anyway, she started totally crying the other day and I run in there and she had like fallen in one of the bins and her little butt got stuck and she couldn't stand up!!! So of course I took a picture and then pulled her out.....sorry it was just too funny.
I better take some cuter pictures of her and post them soon since this is not the best note to end on! Oh well....
Hope everybody's doing great. I will do better at updating - promise!
