She's Everywhere!!!!

Addison has been keeping me on my toes lately. My poor, pregnant, swollen toes. She has been squeezing into the most random places and getting caught. Jeremy and I were at Babies 'R Us looking for a new Pack 'n Play (yes we have gone one full year of parenthood without a pack 'n play) and Addison kept climbing on the lowest display shelf and crawling to the furthest corner away from us. She thought this was pretty funny.

Then we came home that day and she pulled this bright move....

She got stuck on the bottom shelf of her changing table. Poor girl - it was funny so had to take a picture before rescuing her.

Jeremy and I were watching Addie and her buddy (also Addison) last weekend and they were playing together nicely. We were in the kitchen and noticed they were being suspiciously quiet. We checked on them and here is my Addison totally chomping on crayons!!! I love how her buddy looks so innocent....yet who is holding the crayon box????!? Ha ha. Those two girls get into so much together.

She also loves sitting on the low shelf on our sofa table. Sometimes she will just sit back there and look at her books. Jeremy caught her the other day with her snack and juice, chilling on the back of the sofa table.

And finally, my heart is filled with pride whenever Addie performs her newest trick. Blowing raspberries and spit everywhere. I like to think she picked this up from her dad, but in reality have no idea where she picked it up or why she thinks its so hilarious. (Note the totally wet spot on her shirt right under her chin. Really graceful, little girl!!!!)

Even though at times she kicks my butt, I am really enjoying these precious last few weeks of just having one kid to chase after. Sometimes I talk with my girlfriends and it's so hard to keep an eternal perspective of the importance of what we're doing with our kids and families. Somebody emailed this talk to me, and I didn't open it immediately. Then after a particularly long night, and Addie was in bed, I decided to open it and read it. So thankful I did. It's a great talk that helped refill my energy and enthusiasm for being a mom. (That and some night time snacks and sleep....)

Anyway, here is a link. It's called "Mothers Who Know". Sister Beck says, "There is eternal influence and power in motherhood." ....Even if your child eats crayons.

Anyway, anybody needing a boost should definitely take a couple of minutes and look it over.

Hope everybody is doing great!

  1. Love the pictures. The two girls really do work together if they want something. Great story.
