Happy Thought....

In my effort to get excited about Omaha, Nebraska I'm looking for fun things to do out there. I've found information on the zoo, the library programs and even the YMCA. But today I found something I can really be excited about. The Qwest Center.

It will be so cool living where there are actual BIG concerts without having to travel to SLC or Seattle.

Case in point - next month in just ONE week Tom Petty, Dave Matthews and Neil Diamond are playing in Omaha. This month The Police are stopping in Omaha.

So, Jeremy, looks like we need to factor some concert ticket money into our tight student budget while we are Nebraskans. (That's justifiable, right??!? Right???)

Wedding Pictures!!!

NOTE: I just update our blog finally. So there are like six new entries, so scroll down to read all of them!!! Will try to update on a more consistent basis!! :)

So we had a great family event last weekend - Jeremy's brother Tyler got married!!! We really couldn't be happier for them or more excited. They make a great couple - so glad we are family.

(Lots of pictures, descriptions underneath the pictures)

Addison meeting her adorable cousin Jezelle outside temple.

It got a little cold outside during the luncheon after the sealing. Here are Addison and uncle Chad seeking shelter from the rain!
Here are Addison and Jezelle in their flower girl dresses. So cute!

I love this picture because they both have their mouths open and the same "what do you want???" expression on their faces.

Happy couple - Aubrey was a beautiful bride! Tyler looked pretty good, too.

Here's Jeremy giving some words of wisdom to the newlyweds.... Grrrrrreat. :)

Jezelle was so soft and kept saying "baby" when she saw Davis. She was so good with him, it was so sweet to watch!

He looked like a little man in his outfit! So cute!

So Addison has been obsessed with eating things out of their bags lately. If she wants a cracker, I absolutely cannot give her just one or two crackers. I have to give her the whole Ritz package and she carries it around and eats her one or two crackers. If she wants goldfish, don't even think about giving her two or three goldfish. She wants it out of the bag, please. I generally don't argue with her - what's the point, anyway? - but it did look pretty ridiculous when she was all dressed up and had her nice Ziploc bag of fish. Oh, brother!!!
The girl is on a mission!!!! (But still has that stupid bag of crackers!!!)

I sang "Itsy, Bitsy Spider" with the girls and got a cute picture of them clapping when we finished singing. So cute!

Bath Time

Jeremy and I gave Davis a bath together last week so I was able to get some pictures of the event. Normally I give Davis a bath after Addison is asleep and Jeremy is still at work. I love his big blue eyes! He had his two-month check up today and weighs 13.5 pounds (90th percentile!) and is almost 24 inches long, which is 75th percentile (I think). He's definitely growing!

Friends

Here are some random pictures of some recent playdates.

Here is Davis and Andy. Andy is Lexi's younger brother and was born just three weeks before Davis. Andy is always very quiet and well-behaved at church when Davis is crying. Thanks, Andy. :) (Sorry pic is a bit blurry, Davis was swinging in the swing so it didn't take very well but still a cute picture.)

Addison and Lexi playing with the sidewalk chalk on the patio.

Sorry not the best picture of the two Addies but the only one on my camera from the last few weeks. Love that my Addison is on the floor and Addy Young looks so innocent. These girls get into so much trouble!!!

Rain Storm

There was a really nice rainstorm the other day after a total heat wave. It also hit in the afternoon which is normally when we have an outing of some sort - walk, playground, etc. So instead we played in the rain. I love days like this!

Random Fun

Have we mentioned she is such a climber?? Jeremy found Addie on the second shelf of our cheap Ikea bookshelf. (I wasn't home so claim NO responsibility for this behavior!)

She also likes to climb underneath our kitchen table...

The other day we found Addie searching in the pantry. She found this specific bag of rice and then proceeded to pull a pan out of the cabinet and tried to pour the rice into the pan. Apparently she was thinking if we weren't going to make it for her, she would make it for herself!

So Brittney graduated from Boise State a couple of weekends ago and Jeremy and I bravely decided to attend with both children. We spent most of the morning lapping Taco Bell Arena with Addison who would NOT sit for any length of time with anybody. Even with 6 family members there to entertain here! We DID get to see Britt walk, but we surrendered immediately afterwards. Here is the only picture I have of the afternoon....

Stimulating the Economy

We've been stimulated....economically.

Places I wish I was going with my check....

Where we ARE going with our check....

Enough said.

Busy Weekend!

So this weekend, Davis was blessed so we had lots of family fun. It was nice to see everybody - thanks for coming!

So I finally found his outfit! I knew I wanted something with a polo neck, so out of sheer desperation I tried ralphlauren.com - thinking it would be way too expensive but like I said I was desperate. Anyway, I found this cute white shortall set with blue trim and it was on sale! So I had to get it - it came in a nice leather "gift" box that I am using as a keepsake box, as well. Totally scored on that one. He looked so cute!

Close up - don't you love how newborns can sleep anywhere???

Eyes open - barely...

Family of four - if we look a little tired it's because we ARE! :)

We had a little luncheon afterwards at a nearby park and Addison was in heaven. She loved climbing all the way up the stairs and laughing at all of us because she was so high up.
