Getting Closer!

Davis is getting closer and closer to walking. He LOVES dragging this thing around the house with him. He is so strong he will hold it with one hand while pushing obstacles (like clothes on the floor or closed doors) out of the way.

He doesn't attempt to actually take a step without it, though, but we're hoping that his surgery on Friday will help that. Davis is getting tubes in his ears - we went to a pediatric ENT about his chronic ear infections. An Audiologist at the office did a hearing test and poor Davis - his right ear didn't register ANYTHING getting through due to all of the fluid and nasty infection that just never clears up.

The ENT is confident that the tubes will help his balance and verbal skills. Anyway, say a little prayer for him this week - the procedure is so easy - it's super routine and we are literally in and out in a matter of a few hours. I will update later! For now, enjoy the little clip of our sweet guy.

  1. I say he's doing pretty darn good if he can maneuver that thing around and walk at the same time! Good luck with the surgery, we'll be praying for him.

  4. So close, Davis! I'm convinced that Emma isn't going to roll or crawl at all at this point. She just doesn't like being on her back or tummy...she wants to sit up or stand. She's started standing up against the couch and trying to step to one side or the other - she gets herself to her knees in her crib - and almost stood up in her high chair. Good luck on Friday!!!

  6. We will say a little prayer for sweet Davis. Our friends just had the operation done on their son who is Lauren's age and they said that it was the best nights sleep they have ever had because he was still drowsy from the drugs. So hope you enjoy it.

  7. Natalie he is getting so big and I am not there to watch!! He is so good at that toy. Especially the one handed thing. Walking will come in no time. His surgery will go well and I have feeling Paiton is headed down that road so take notes.
